Guidelines for creating strong passwords

A strong password is a password that meets the following requirements:

At least 8 characters long. Every character in your password greatly increases the password's strength.

Contains both uppercase and lowercase letters.

Contains digits.

Contains special symbols, such as !, #, $, -, +, =, _ , @, %, *.

Not resemble any of your previous passwords.

Not based on information that relates to you or your family.
